Risk Disclaimer

Binary options are a high-risk product. Most retail traders lose money. This page sets out the risks plainly, because the rest of this site discusses bonuses that encourage trading.

Trading binary options and CFDs carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all invested capital. These products are not suitable for every investor. Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose.

You can lose everything you deposit

This is not a formality. Binary options are all-or-nothing instruments: a losing position typically loses the full amount staked. A sequence of losing trades can empty an account quickly, and the structure of the product means the mathematics work against a trader over time.

Most retail traders lose money trading these products. That is the base rate, not a warning about carelessness.

Nothing on this site is advice

Binary Option Trading is an information site. We are not financial advisers, we are not licensed to give investment advice, and nothing published here constitutes a personal recommendation to trade, to deposit, or to accept any bonus.

We do not know your financial position, your experience, your tax situation or your objectives. Any decision you make is yours. If you need advice, seek it from a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.

Bonuses increase risk rather than reducing it

This site covers deposit bonus codes, so this point deserves emphasis. A bonus is not a safety net. It is trading credit attached to a turnover requirement — commonly 50x to 100x the bonus amount in trading volume before the credit can be withdrawn.

That structure encourages more trading than you might otherwise do, and more trading in a negative-expectancy product means more expected loss. Accepting a bonus can also restrict your ability to withdraw your own funds until the requirement is met. Read the full terms before accepting one.

No guaranteed returns

Nothing here promises profit. Payout percentages describe what a winning trade pays, not how often trades win. Any site, service or individual offering guaranteed returns, risk-free trading or a system that cannot lose is describing something that does not exist.

Regulatory position

Pocket Option operates offshore and is not licensed by a tier-1 regulator such as the FCA, CySEC, ASIC or SEC. Practically, that means no investor compensation scheme, no segregated-funds guarantee and no external ombudsman to escalate a dispute to. Your recourse in a dispute is the platform's own support process.

Binary options are restricted or banned for retail traders in many jurisdictions, including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union and EEA states, Canada, Australia, Japan and Israel. It is your responsibility to know the rules where you live.

Age restriction

This site and the products it covers are for adults aged 18 or over. Some jurisdictions set a higher minimum age.

Accuracy

We check the information published here, but terms change without notice and codes are retired without announcement. Always confirm current terms on the platform before depositing. We accept no liability for losses arising from reliance on information published on this site.

If trading has become a problem

If you are chasing losses, trading money you needed for something else, hiding it from people close to you, or finding you cannot stop, those are recognised warning signs and they are worth acting on.

Free, confidential support is available from organisations including GamCare and Gamblers Anonymous, whose services generally extend to speculative trading as well as gambling. There is no threshold you need to reach before contacting them, and reaching out early is far easier than reaching out late.
